Argate System:

Argate stones are very special items that you can use to further improve your weapons and armor. To do so:

1. Visit an Alchemist in either castle and select I would like to fortify a socket.

2. In the item section of the fortification window, insert the item you wish to upgrade. In the ingredient section, insert the Argate item.

3. If you want to increase your chance of success, place normal socket items in the other slots. Each item you add will increase the chance of success by a small percentage, up to a maximum of percent.

4. When you press Fortify the progress window will appear.

5. If the upgrade is successful, you`ll see the Upgrade Success! message. If the upgrade fails, the message will read, Upgrade Failed!

- Minimum requirements for upgrading are: an item (weapon or armor), an ingredient (Argate) and DIL.

- Higher upgrades will cost more DIL and the chance of failure will also increase.

- If the upgrade fails, the Argate will be destroyed and item`s level will drop to 0. However, socketed items and their attributes will remain unchanged.

- You can upgrade an item up to level 9 (+9). Higher levels require different Argates:

1. Normal item - No existing modifications. Successfully refining a normal item will automatically turn it into a magic item.

2. Magic item - Magic item already has two modifications. Successfully refining a magic item will turn it into a noble item.

3. Noble item - Noble item already has three modifications. Successfully refining a noble item will automatically turn it into a divine noble item.

4. Divine Noble item - Divine Noble item already has four modifications. Successfully refining a divine noble item essentially turns it into a legendary item, which cannot be refined any further.

To update the item option:

1. Go to the Alchemist NPCs, Carmen at Braiken Castle or Isadora at Loa Castle, and select the option: "[Option Upgrade] I'd like to upgrade my current item option".

2. By selecting the menu above, the UI window (on the right side) will appear. A description of each function in the User Interface is as follows:

- Equipment Slot: Place a weapon or armor item to upgrade here.

- Real-time Option Information: The current modifications and grade of your weapon or armor item.

- Option Gem (Marvrics) Slot: One of three kinds of Marvrics (Copper, Silver, and Gold) is required to attempt an item upgrade.

- Optional Item Slot: To increase the chances of success, you can place an "Alchemist's Will" (cash item) in the slot. You will see a change in the probability of success on the screen.

- DIL Costs: Indicates how much DIL is required.

- Required Gem: Tells you what kind of gem is required for this upgrade.

Nium Marvric Upgrade from a Magic item to a Noble one

Tatum Marvric Upgrade from a Noble item to a Divine Noble one

3. If the upgrade is successful, you`ll see the Upgrade Success! message. If the upgrade fails, the message will read, Upgrade Failed (suffer one of three penalties):

- None of its existing modifications will be changed

- Your item will be degraded by one level and will lose one modification

- Your item will be degraded by two levels and it will lose two modifications

* In case your item is degraded, it will lose modifications in the opposite order in which they were added. In other words, the last modification or upgrade will be the first to be lost in case of the upgrade failure.
